Besides the Plataanrooms, Hotel de Plataan also provides Plataan-basic hotel rooms. Just like the Plataanrooms, the Plataan-basic hotel rooms, are painted in a unique way by the Delft artist Juul Smulders. The Plataan-basic hotel rooms are designed to be cozier as they are a tiny bit smaller than the Plataanrooms. But they do have the same facilities; a desk to work on, a telephone, tv and a sink.

Furthermore, the rooms have separate bathrooms including a shower and toilet. The hotel also provides free wifi in the whole hotel.

The Plataan-basic hotel rooms are located at a quiet place in the hotel.
